WCI Communities unveils Altaira Sky Home model in The Colony Golf & Bay Club
October 18, 2016
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (Oct. 18, 2016) – Homebuyers can now experience a taste of Sky Home living firsthand when visiting the new Altaira® model in WCI’s premier Bonita Springs Community, The Colony Golf & Bay Club.
Altaira residences feature hurricane-rated, solar-tinted expanses of exterior vision glass and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to east- and west-facing terraces – a design element that introduces natural light into each Sky Home, along with views of The Colony, Estero Bay and Gulf of Mexico sunsets from higher floors.
“The first Sky Home model brings to life Altaira’s exquisite level of luxury,” said Dwight Thomas, vice president of WCI’s tower division. “Altaira’s panoramic views and light-filled interiors are complemented by Jinx McDonald Interior Designs’ sophisticated approach to coastal contemporary design.”
Appointments are now available to tour Altaira’s model Residence 202. Encompassing 3,315 square feet of living space, the model features an open great room, generously sized gourmet kitchen, three bedrooms with three full baths, private den and powder room. Buff-colored walls are complemented by large-format gray-striated porcelain tile that unifies living spaces. Incorporated within a built-in driftwood-stained walnut cabinet, a lineal fireplace is framed in a white wave pattern that is echoed in the dining room niche. A quartz-topped, one-sided waterfall edge island balances classic white Irpinia cabinets and stainless appliances and fixtures from Grohe, Thermador and Kohler in the kitchen.
Owner’s suite flooring transitions to a luxurious wide-plank, wire-brushed oak that offsets the room’s focal point: a custom platform bed of bleached and cerused oak imparted with a subtle metallic sheen.
Construction on the 21-story Altaira tower is on schedule for a spring 2017 delivery.
The first WCI tower in almost a decade, Altaira offers 75 waterfront Sky HomesSM that live like grand single-family residences. The Altaira lifestyle provides owners free time to enjoy both the onsite amenities and those at The Colony Golf & Bay Club.
Each of Altaira’s first 18 residential floors contains four residences with 3,300 to over 3,500 square feet of living space, depending on the floor plan. The top floor – with three Penthouse Residences – includes a unique Sky Home with a living area that encompasses the two center residences of a typical floor.
Altaira’s amenity level will offer a fitness center featuring state-of-the-art exercise equipment for aerobic and strength training and an additional fitness room for yoga and Pilates classes, along with an outdoor heated resort-style pool with dedicated lap lanes and a whirlpool spa.
Altaira’s first floor provides resident garage parking, air-conditioned owner’s storage, bicycle storage and a power source for electric vehicles. Outdoor amenities include a pavilion bar and poolside chaises, reflecting pool, water wall and open fire pit. The luxury tower’s rooftop Sky Terrace will offer expansive views of Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
Members enjoy amenities including the award-winning Bay Club, a private gourmet dining club, and a recently expanded kayak and canoe launch facility.
The Colony Golf Club’s 28,000-square-foot clubhouse offers members 18 holes of Jerry Pate-designed championship golf, formal and casual dining, a cocktail lounge, golf pro shop, and the Spa & Fitness Center. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool and a tennis pavilion with six Har-Tru courts.
Colony Golf & Bay Club residents also have access to Pelican Landing amenities, including a 34-acre private island beach park, canoe park, tennis courts, fitness center and community center. Sky Homes in Altaira start from the $1 millions.
